Rowing for Research is a brand-new challenge from Alzheimer's Research UK. We're challenging you to row indoors or outdoors (or you can kayak, paddleboard, or canoe!) and row a distance of your choice to raise vital funds for life-changing dementia research.
Rowing for Research runs from 1 October to 28 February and you can complete your challenge in any way throughout this time. Plus, if you raise £200 you’ll receive an exclusive Rowing for Research medal!
You choose the distance you want to row: why not try rowing 2km a day, or take on a massive challenge and row 340km in two months (that’s 50 times the Oxford/Cambridge boat race distance!) Or, you can choose your distance and row your own way.
More people with dementia have died from COVID-19 in England and Wales than those with any other pre-existing condition. In fact, a quarter of COVID-19 deaths have been people with dementia.
One in three people born today will go on to develop dementia in their lifetime – but your incredible challenge has the power to change this through research.
Sign up today and push yourself with an awesome challenge 🚣♀
